Updated Coronavirus Letter - 17.03.2020

17th March 2020

Dear Parent or Carer,

Thank you all for being so patient and understanding at this time.

We would like to thank you for informing the school offices, by telephone and also followed up by written confirmation (school Policy) if your child will not be able to attend school.

Due to the safety of washing hands frequently we are aware that some children are experiencing sore hands. To assist with this, we have purchased hand cream recommended by the chemist, which can be safely used for all skin types, including those with Eczema. With this in mind we would ask all parents not to send their children in with any types of soap/hand cream. The cream will be available for all children from the school office.

Please see below information from the NHS website regarding symptoms that would require your child to stay off school.

We have received a few calls informing us of occasions where children have attended events outside of school, in this instance we would ask you to inform the parents via your own contact channels.

Thank you in anticipation for your cooperation and patience during this time and best wishes to you and your families for keeping in good health.

Kind regards

Coronavirus Update - 10.03.2020

10th March 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

Once again, I would like to thank parents who have contacted the school for various reasons over the last two weeks during this period where we have seen increasing numbers of people affected by the coronavirus. As you can imagine these are a considerable number so to each of you – please take this email as a reply to you all.

We, like other educational and professional establishments keep in touch with the guidance on a daily basis, whilst also aliasing with the Local Authority.

With the recent news from St Helier Hospital we have also made more in depth enquiries. The outcome remains the same, which is to adhere to the guidance on the links. Generally, this is when anyone is presenting with symptoms they should follow relevant guidance particularly when following a visit to named countries. For your convenience we have once again included links below.

Please note, currently – there is no directive to close schools but of course we will be following government guidance should this picture change.

N.B All of the links below, self-update.

In the first instance, please refer to the above guidance or call 111 if you require any further advice.

Increased measures in place at each school.

We continue to apply rigorous cleaning schedules whilst reiterating the importance of washing hands. The school has greatly increased the regular order for cleaning products to ensure we have plenty to see us through this period.  We have seen a number of children bringing in cleansing fluid and gels. Children should not be bringing these into school due to allergies. Following guidance, soap and water is the most effective method of precaution.

Thank you in anticipation for your cooperation during this difficult time and best wishes to you and your families for keeping in good health.

Kind regards
